Cessna 210 For Sale
Also known as the Centurion, the Cessna 210 is capable of seating 6 passengers. It's a general aviation
aircraft using a single engine and has retractable landing gears. The first Cessna 210 took to flight in 1957 and
production continued until 1985. Today, the Cessna 210 is still being actively traded in the market.
The first incarnation of the Cessna 210 featured only four seats and used a 260 horsepower engine. Really, it
was just a modified Cessna 182B except that it has new wings, retractable landing gear and swept tail. It evolved
as design changes were made. In 1961, for example, the fuselage was enlarged and window number three was added.
The Cessna 210's Evolution
The Cessna 210D, which was released in 1964, featured a more powerful 285 horsepower engine. Also, two child
seats were added. In 1967, a main modification was made as the plane's wings became cantilever instead of using
struts. The Cessna 210K was released in 1970 and featured a full 6 seating capacity.
The End of Production and New Airplanes
When Cessna stopped producing the 210 in 1985, a void was created in the single engine market. Competitors were
quick to come up with a model to fill the gap. Cessna had to act. In 2007, bought the assets of Columbia Aircraft
Company which produced the Columbia 350 and 400. Cessna renamed them Cessna 350 and 400 respectively. These
airplanes are Cessna's answer to the top of the line single engine aircraft market.
